VALKYRIE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Welcome to Valkyrie International Film Festival (VIFF): 

a Buffalo-based celebration of films directed by women of all backgrounds. 

Our original venue The Screening Room was forced to close suddenly. We're excited that VIFF 2026 will be held at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, a Buffalo institution located in a neighborhood filled with restaurants, bars and cafes. Because of the change in venue, we've had to change our festival dates:

Friday, August 7th - Tuesday, August 11, 2026

This will be the first time we've held VIFF in the summer, and in the city itself, which will allow visiting filmmakers and patrons to really explore everything the city offers and to visit Niagara Falls in warm weather! Because of the change in dates, we've extended our final submissions deadline to June 6th.
