After graduating from the NYC School of Visual Arts earning a BFA in Film, David Tripet moved to California, where he served as an Acquisitions executive at Trimark Pictures for many years. He was one of the executives who gave Jennifer Aniston (Leprechaun) and Angelina Jolie (Cyborg 2) their first feature starring roles. He produced three films for LIVE Entertainment (now part of Lionsgate): The Arrival, Dead Men Can't Dance, and the horror classic Wishmaster, which spawned a few sequels. Since 2020 he has been mentoring first time writers to prepare their feature scripts for review by agents and studios.
